Media Impact

My proposal of a media research project would be on how facebook/myspace affects student's grades. The way I would research this project would be using the random sampling method and choose a certain amount of students from each school in the bay area. I would test my hypothesis by asking each person how many hours they spend on facebook/myspace each day and then find out what their grades are for each quarter/semester. I would do the same for people who aren't on facebook/myspace and find out their grades as well. The results I predict are that facebook/myspace would interfere with people's grades and the people that aren't on facebook/myspace have higher grades than people who are always on these social networking sites.
